Unbuilt Disney - The SS Disney Floating Theme Park

In the early 1990's, the U.S. military was beginning a post-Cold War downsizing. Part of that reduction included getting rid of some old aircraft carriers. An encounter at a charity dinner, between a Navy admiral and a Disney executive, led to the idea of a "floating theme park" with rides, shows, and restaurants, built on a surplus aircraft carrier, that could be positioned along any coastline, anywhere in the world. This is that story.
