about

In 1993, Disney was hurting from its investment in EuroDisney, which did not open well, and Disney was not about to build another park.

Disney still needed to grow their business, though. One idea they considered was a travelling show - taking a couple dozen attractions on the road, to big American cities like Chicago, New York, and Houston.

What kind of attractions? Everything from midway rides to Captain EO and Circlevision films.

This is that story, and so much more. The documents we've uncovered show in detail the economics of running Disney's theme parks, from how much it costs to run Fantasmic each night, right down to how much profit makes from each Epcot meal you eat.
