I am really enjoying this new podcast! I just wanted to make a quick comment about the Wonder Woman discussion. I do agree that the job market for female superheroes is scarce and the Wonder Woman certainly fills a need as a role model. I know Aaron had the best intentions when he said he is good that there is a superhero action figure for girls to enjoy as well (or something to that effect). I suggest that if a superhero is awesome enough, children want the merch, not just one sex or the other. I can tell you my son has a Rey action figure and never thought of it as any different than any of his other ones. I'm not saying that it doesn't have a certain appeal to girls in terms of self identification but I think to market it specifically for girls, is to sell both the character and our sons short.
