about

Len Testa & Jim Hill continue their November 2018 walk-through of Disney’s Hollywood Studios with a visit to that theme park’s newest “land”. They discuss how the June 2018 opening of Toy Story Land has fundamentally changed the way Guests experience WDW’s third gate.

lyrics

Over the course of this episode, listeners will learn about:

How the popularity of Toy Story Land has forced Disney’s Hollywood Studios to incorporate “Extra Magic Hours” into that theme park’s operating schedule

How DHS was forced to create queue space for Toy Story Land’s entrance marquee because so many Guests wanted to get their picture taken with that nearly 20 foot-tall Sheriff Woody

How WDW’s Holiday Services team was able to use TSL’s pre-existing lighting package (to be specific: The over-sized Christmas lights that illuminate the Slinky Dog Dash Roller Coaster) as the jumping-off point for a really spectacular seasonal overlay for this side of that theme park.

Where coaster enthusiasts believe that Slinky Dog Dash now falls in the overall hierarchy of WDW’s coasters (i.e., between the “Barnstormer starring the Great Goofini” and “Seven Dwarfs Mine Train” over at WDW’s Magic Kingdom)

How the Cinnamon Cran-Apple Lunch Box Tart served at Woody’s Lunch Box may have been the single best holiday-themed food item made available to Guests during last year’s “Flurry of Fun at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.”
